Andromeda, one of the 88 modern constellations, is depicted with hands bound in chains. It was named after Andromeda in Greek mythology. In ancient Greek mythology, Andromeda was the daughter of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia of Ethiopia, whose mother offended Amphitrite, the wife of Poseidon, the god of the sea, for constantly showing off her daughter's beauty. Andromeda was rescued and married by Perseus, son of Zeus. So later Zeus elevated her to Andromeda.
